LangLance (http://www.langlance.com) was founded in 2004 as an online job marketplace for both translators and translation agencies all over the world. Since then, thousands of translators have registered with the site. In 2007, we decided to make a major update to our site to accurately reflect our users' needs, and achieve our goal, to help translators and translation agencies find each other more easily and "simplify their translation work life."
If your answer to this question is "yes," LangLance is the right place for you!
Here's how it works.
For Translators
Translators post their resume along with their past work history or whatever seems to be required to apply for a job. Submitting a resume describing your qualifications to your prospective employers is almost ALWAYS required in the recruiting process for translators. Then, why not making your resume available to them online all the time, so that your prospective employers, translation agencies or recruiters, can search our translator database to find and contact you through our messaging system?
Again, now translators can post their resumes, and make them searchable and get contacted by translation agencies constantly looking for better qualified translators for translation jobs or projects that they have. While utilizing all of these main features, translators can choose the information that they wish to be searchable or not by translation agencies, as we've known that some translators don't want disclose their personal information like email address until they decide to do so.
For Translation Agencies
Do you run a translation agecy looking for skilled language professionals? Even if you have your own company's website and translator database, do you really think that you have a sufficient pool of talented professionals? Have you considered the fact that most of translators are unwilling to just register their information with a translation agency without being offered any jobs? Rather, translators are willing to work for an agency who has actual jobs to offer on hand.
LangLance can provide you with a job posting system that enables you to post as many jobs as you like based on the plan you choose. By posting a job on LangLance, translators will know that your agency has in fact jobs to offer on hand, and at the same time, that you are a serious recruiter. You can also contact prospective translators directly. If you are an employer or run a translation agency, all you need to do is post your company information, post a translation job or project, search our database of translators, contact translators who you think are eligible for translation projects you have. Moreover, all the translation agencies registered with us can make their company or job information "featured" on the site for the first one month, and more based on the plan selected, to increase your online visibility from all over the world.
* LangLance is not involved in any translation agencies' recruiting process. We only offer a venue for translators to find online translation jobs, and for translation agencies to find qualified translators for their projects. Therefore, please note that each translator enters into a contractual relationship with the translation agency that he/she works for.
